What makes us different?

We only do stump grinding. We are not a tree surgery business that also has a grinder in the van — we are a dedicated stump grinding outfit. It also means a fair price, because we are running the right tool for the work instead of charging tree-surgeon day rates for stump work.

Where do we work?

Our service area is Canterbury and every town within a 15-mile radius. That covers the East Kent coast from Whitstable through Herne Bay, Margate, Broadstairs, Ramsgate, Sandwich and Deal down to Dover, Folkestone and Hythe — and inland through Ashford, Faversham, Sittingbourne, Wye, Chilham and dozens of villages. Canterbury is our home turf.

How do we keep prices fair?

Stump grinding pricing has two moving parts: how big the stump is and how hard the wood is. We have built our quoting around those facts so you get a fixed number up front and pay exactly that. Most residential stumps fall between £85 and £300. The full pricing breakdown is published — no callout fee, no surprise extras.

Are we insured and qualified?

Yes. We carry £5 million public liability insurance, and the operator is NPTC certified for stump grinding. Insurance certificates and qualifications are available on request — homeowners selling property often want to see them, and we share them without hesitation.

How do we treat your garden?

Ground protection boards over the lawn. Screens or sheeting around the work area to catch debris. Grinding to 200mm below ground level. Hole backfilled with the wood chips, or chips bagged and taken off site if you prefer. The area swept clean before we leave. Your garden goes back to looking like a garden, just without the stump.
